Information
Phra Phutthabat Phu Khwai Ngoen is located at Ban Pha Baen, Tambon Buhom. The Buddha’s footprint is 120cm long and 65cm wide, enshrined on a whetstone and was registered as a national ancient monument in 1935. The footprint is highly revered among the locals. In the past, it was difficult to come to worship the footprint, therefore, it was believed that only those who possessed a lot of merit and fortune would be able to come and pay respect to the footprint. Those who did not have enough luck would have many obstacles, preventing them from completing their journey even though some might have high intention, while some might get lost. Every year, on the full moon day of the third lunar month, the temple will organise an annual celebration which is a significant event for the locals.
