Tha Sadet Market is located along the Mekong River in Muang Nong Khai municipality. This is a source of products from Indochina and East Europe, including dried food, processed food, and utensils, such as electric appliances, clothes, watches, kitchenware, etc. It is open daily from 7am-6:30pm. Many visitors, both foreign and Thai, come to see and purchase products for sale here. Furthermore, this is a checkpoint for local people to cross the border into Laos, while visitors in general have to go through the Thai – Lao Friendship Bridge checkpoint.
