Information
The Wat Chong Kham in Mae Hong Son is found on the southern banks of Chong Klang Lake. It was built in 1827 by the Thai Yai of Burma. The pillars are covered in gold leaf. There is a large Buddha image by Burmese craftsmen. It is very close to Wat Chong Klang, which has a copy of the Phra Buddha Singh, ancient wooden Burmese dolls representing stages of the Buddha's life, and stained glass. Most of the writings are in Burmese.
