Housed in one of the most prominent high-rise buildings in downtown Hat Yai, the Centara is often the choice for visitors to the southern city who are looking for four-star accommodation with value for money.
The hotel boasts 248 rooms and suites, coming in eight types. The 58m2 studio apartment I stayed in is located on the 19th floor, which is not marked on the elevators because most of it is reserved for long-term residents. Guests staying in this and certain other room types are entitled to use the premium lounge where complimentary food and beverages are served in a private setting.
Apart from catering to tourists and business travellers, many of them from neighbouring Malaysia and Singapore, the hotel also has facilities for meetings and functions of different scales.
