Information

This temple was originally quite small, but in the reign of King Rama V, a large seated Buddha image made of white cement was added to the temple. The temple was renovated in 1887, but the original image collapsed during this renovation. A new Buddha image was created to replace the damaged one. The style of this new image was identical to the one at Wat Kanlayanamit. The new one is 16.10 metres from knee to knee and 22.65 metres in height. Within the ubosot of the temple, there are mural paintings depicting scenes of the Lord Buddha's life.
