National Science Park (Ratchaburi) in theTanao Si Mountains, covers an an area of 132,905 rai (212,648,000 square metres). It covers areas of Tambon Suan Phueng and Tambon Tanao Si. It was built through the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, with the objective of conserving and improving the forest area and to research the social, physical and biological characteristics of the park in able to provide education for children, youth and others. Upon discovering the forest's biodiversity, she streamlined the guidelines to conserve and develop this area. There is the Natural Science Information Hall which provides general information about the park through the use of multimedia presentations and a library for searching information about the environment. Souvenir shops that sell books, postcards, literature and products from the Royal Career Support Project can also be found within the premises.
