The aquarium is located within the grounds of Kasetsart University in Bang Kaen. The aquarium serves as a research facility for the Department of Fisheries. The aquarium has over 100 species of fish and an equally diverse number of aquatic plants. The aquarium is Thailand's oldest aquarium.
