The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok is one of the largest Swedish embassies in Asia, with its overall role being to strengthen relations between Sweden and Thailand at government, company, organisation and people levels.
The embassy provides consular assistance and support to Swedish citizens in Thailand and handles applications for visa and residence permits to Sweden.
The embassy hosts Sensa, the Swedish Environmental Secretariat for South East Asia which promotes regional development cooperation focusing on environmental issues, and the Nordic Liaison Office for Police and Customs Cooperation, which works with Thai police to fight international crime.
Side-accredited countries to the Embassy of Sweden are the Philippines, Laos, Cambodia and Burma/Myanmar.
