The Consular Services Section of the Australian Embassy in Thailand provides advice and assistance to Australian citizens in need, performs notarial services (e.g. witnessing of signatures and true copies of documents), and processes applications for Australian passports. The embassy handles applications for visas to Australia. It handles political and economic relations between Australia and Thailand. Limited consular assistance in available through Honorary Consuls on Phuket (located at The Chava Resort Tel: 076 372 600 Fax: 076 372 606) and in Chiang Mai (236 Chiangmai-Doi Saket Road Tel: 053 492 480 fax: 053 492 426) and Samui. The Honorary Consul in Phuket is able to accept applications for adult passport renewals only.
