Information
This brick building, measuring 7 metres high, was built by the French as a prison for Thai captives who were opposed to French occupation of the area. It is said that the flat roof was used to raise chickens, with their excrement being allowed to drop freely on the prisoners below, hence the name 'chicken s**t' prison.
