Information
The appearance of Phu Kao resembles a frying pan which has a great plain in the centre. It is assumed to be the remains of a volcano extinguished millions of years ago. The lower vast plain of Lam Nam Phong used to be a very big valley, but became a lake after the construction of the Ubonratana Dam and occupies half the area of Phu Phan Kham.
