Surin Beach is located approximately 24 kilometres from Phuket town and is only a short distance north of Laem Sing. The beach is relatively isolated and secluded, and ideal for sunbathing and relaxing, although not for swimming due to its steep sloping beach. The beach is also know as millionaires' row, with its many high-end luxury resorts and expensive private homes. Several Muslim fishing communities are located nearby and mosques are situated to the west of the beach. The local mosque, Matsayit Mukaram, is worth visiting as it is an elegant whitewashed structure with lacquered wooden doors.
