Royal Hotel is cosily snuggled down in the heart of Bangkok’s historic quarter, along Ratchadamnoen Klang Road. Exploring the city is a breeze with various major attractions located within short walking distance such as the magnificent Grand Palace, the National Museum, numerous renowned Buddhist Temples, Banglamphu Shopping Centres, and plenty more. Enjoy the charm of the bygone days while staying in this charmingly designed hotel well-appointed with superb amenities.
An extensive range of meeting facilities is available on-site. The stylish restaurant serves a variety of mouth-watering Thai, Chinese, and European cuisines. In-house facilities include an outdoor pool, tailor shop, tour counter, and ticketing office.
I love the Royal. It has the glory of faded grandeur. Contrary to mnay comments I have seen the staff are helpful and friendly. ( Thais are if you treat them with respect). t The pool is clean, though unheated. The coffee lounge is acquired taste time, but the food is tasty. Contrary to an Aussie woman singing tunelessly a song about the bad breakfast out loud and being disrespectful. I find breakfast very good and varied. It is in a great location for the tourist places and also Khao San Road.
Everything went smoothly and when I needed to change dates it was no problem. the staff were very helpful.
Hotel potrebno renovirati. Vendar je za ta denar in lokacijo čisto zadovoljiv. Bazen in bife-zajtrk sta čisto OK!
good hotel fine location
Hotel needs renovation, but the price is of this case.Staff is friendly and helpful, buffet breakfast is good. There is no reason why it would not be back next year...
It is not a 5 stars, but a perfect hotel for a couple of days in BKK. Close to all, nice staff, and super pleasant pool in the centre of BKK. Multi shops street at 200 m. A bit old, need some renovations, but for 2-3 days it is ok. Nice lunch, 180 bath for all in buffet, and only 500 bath taxi from airport. Do not take taxi of hotel, they overprice too much.
no problem, all went well.
Rooms are tired but comfortable. Bathroom very clean. Staff at check-in desk was borderline hostile. Other staff (in coffee shop, taxi desk and baggage valet) were very cordial. Breakfast pretty good. Wakeup call reliable. Did not use pool so can t comment. There are homeless people who sleep in front of the hotel, which is a bit disconcerting. I thought the prices at the taxi desk and in the coffee shop were high.
We like returning. He certainly needs renovation - swiming pool is good. This year is novelty is this, equipment was updating at breakfast. We will come again
At always - perfect...
As always, I enjoyed staying at Royal Hotel
Hotel is perfectly located to visit the Grand Palais and the Wat Po. However, the hotel could be renovated as it is quite old. A deposit of THB 1000 is requested for the key. They could take a credit card deposit instead.
Great as always...
After reading the positive feedback I booked this hotel. Unfortunately it was a mistake. Pros: - good location - bathroom was good - breakfast was ok Cons: - sleeping was not possible since the room was directed to the main road and it was loud all night (no isolation, there were holes between the window you could directly see through ...) - bed was not clean - booked for 3 persons, got towels, e.g. only for two - asked for a different room, they showed me 2 alternative rooms that were even worse - had to pay 1000 THB as deposit for the key card (they didn t mention it during booking) - reception staff not friendly - seen many 2-star hotels in Thailand that were far better than this 3-star hotel (rooms, service) - poor value for money
Fast and easy
