Le Blanc Samed Resort is set in beautiful surroundings of Laem Yai, on the east coast of Koh Samet. The resort features 12 modern Thai style cottages decorated and furnished in eye-relaxing white and combines the simplicity and elegance together. Each cottage is equipped with full facilities. The surrounding tropical garden creates serene and relaxing atmosphere for a wonderful getaway. The staff is friendly and attentive.
Laem Yai is indisputably an ideal place to enjoy tranquil atmosphere, stunning sunset as well as outdoor activities including snorkeling, fishing or just simply lazing around on the white sand beach.
Too expensive regarding the standard of rooms and cleaning. Rerception staff was good. Restaurant maximum 1 star

Not worth 3000 baht/night! Checked out 30 minutes after we checked in! It was that bad.. Sad to say - but stay away from this place. Beach was dirty, old rotten sun chairs.

Our experience with the Le Blanc Samed Resort is not good. We were charged baht 4,200 a night for a room (we had 2)that wasn t worth more than 1,500. The whole resort was in bad repair, shoddy and very overpriced. So much so that we have been in communication with Sawadee.com the booking agent and sent them photos of the areas in particularly bad repair or used for dumping old glass, statues and other no longer needed items. Decking was broken, garbage underneath in full view. We were not expecting anything like 5 star accommodation but it was a complete rip off at the inflated New Year price, plus a compulsory NYE dinner at 2,500 each (we were 4), total rip off. The first day when we checked in we had to leave 2,000 deposit for the keys, no mention of this on their website, we asked for towels for the beach, could only give us one and a shower towel the chap at the desk was using to lean on over his chair! View from our bedroom window was a old toilet and dumping ground. The so called private beach was a absolute mess, hence no one was using that beach at all. Russion tours came daily to the Le Blanc, they had the most part of the front of the hotel beach, the residents had a small area where beds were very crunched up. I also feel that Sawadee misrepresented Le Blanc. I wrote and asked if anyone from that company had actually been and stayed there..no answer to that question. However, they have replied in general. We were offered another hotel as I wrote to sawadee.com whilst at Le Blanc. But it would have cost us a further baht 18,000 which we were not prepared to spend. I would not recommend this hotel at this price, if you were paying 1,500 a night, then perhaps it would be ok because of the location. But there is no excuse the the garbage and clutter between the chalets at whatever price. It could be so good with very little work, simply tidying the grounds, private beach, limiting the tours. Breakfast was included, we had a choice of 2 sets, congee or a revolting fry up, so everyday we went elsewhere.
Reservation service:
Sawadee.com did come back to me everytime and offered us a move, but much more money, but the only thing would have been to offer us some kind of refund as they promote this hotel and the price. They seemed to agree with me as I had proof and sent them all the photos. They said they would keep on eye on the hotel. I think they should stop promoting it.

We had a great time! The staff at the hotel was frendly and the location perfect. We could rest and in the night find some parties just 5-10 min walking. We didn t have breakfast, but all the meals we had (thia food) we super good.
Reservation service:
Very good. We booked another hotel, which was really terrible and you were able to change the reservation to Le Blanc, very happy about this! Thank you!

First let me say that I ve been living in a 10 man tent in the Afghan desert for the last 7 months so i m pretty easily impressed when it comes to living conditions. Even by my modest standards this place was a dump. But it wasn t just the poor quality of the rooms that were a problem, this place is a failure on every level. I booked an Oceanside room for an average of 3400 baht a night. it should have gone for 1000 baht at the most. It was 1 room and an outdated bathroom. The room smelled of mildew and the bed was so hard and lumpy that after the first night I never got more than 4 or 5 hours of sleep before I would be awakened by a severe back ache. The bathroom very utilitarian with virtually no water pressure and intermitent hot water. The private beach for the Oceanside units was made up of small rocks not sand and was littered with trash. There was a nice beach in front of the restaurant but everyday it filled up with Russians that were brought in from the mainland on day trips. The restaurant was overpriced but the 1 meal that I did eat there was tasty. I did eat the included breakfast every morning and it was good as long as I stuck to the Thai breakfast (Khoa Tom.) I ate all other meals at a very good and reasonably priced resaurant a short walk dow the beach called Ploi Talay. The service was also very bad. I had to ask for towels every day. When they cleaned my room they would take the dirty towels and not relace them. The grumpy old man that manages the place is utterly worthless. One of the staff said that they always have trouble getting their pay from management so book this place at your own risk because it could go under at any time. If I had it to do over again I would not go to Koh Samet at all. There isn t that much to do and there is only 1 road on the Island and it is in horrible shape. I rented a 4 wheel ATV and had trouble controlling it due to the huge ruts that are everywhere. My friend dropped her 2 wheel scooter twice and she s an experianced rider. Go to Koh Chang instead. It has a lot better choices in hotels and a lot more things to do. If you do insist on going to Koh Samet check out the Moo Ban Talay resort. It is on a really nice and secluded beach that only this resort has access to and it has a nice pool. I didn t go into a room but they are detached bungalows that look nice from the outside. Sawadde.com did a good job as usuall.

Arriving we were offered a room far away from the beach but had booked and payed for Delux Cottage Seaside. It was change after a lot of discussions. The room should be 34 squarmeter but it was 17!!!! Breakfast was terrible! When it was buffé it was a little better but the food was luke warm. The beach was wonderfull and the staaf there, also, when it was possible to be there. The best sunny day the beach was occupied by a group of russian dayguests. We and some other guests living there had to go somewhere else. We were happy there where many good restaurants in the city, because at Le Blanc it was not good and the service was very poor. I am very sorry, because this could be a heaven on earth run and taken care of (even the guests living there) in the right way.

The resort certainly do not correspond to our expectations, the standard does not match the description (3.5 stars). The breakfast offered is beneath contempt. restaurant environment just disgusting! Bungalow was spacious and clean, but did not offer much more. The experience of it was rather bare. The directly heated shower was hanging loose in only a few electric cables! Deadly! We were very unhappy, but chose to stay overnight, to find another place without stress. We had prepaid for 12 nights, and got money for 10 nights credit to use on other residents. Thanks for that; Sawadee.com!

Bästa läget på Saikew Beach. Bra och trevlig personal. Börjar bli slitet. Solstolar och madrasser har börjat gjort. Man borde tvätta lakan och filtar lite då och då. Bra massagedel. Bra personal som skötte solstolarna. I priset ingick frukost, solstol och parasoll. Helt Ok pris/dygn.

Bemötande i reception väldigt bra. Vi blev uppgraderade efter 2 dygn. Vi bodde våra andra 9 dagar i de Bungalow som låg närmast den lilla viken bakom.

Compared with the other hotel on the beach; Le Blanc is the good rate with ABF included the facilities. All the staffs s great; in the morning(16 Apr.)at the buffet, there were no more hams and saucesages left in the tray so I asked for some, he got me the big plate of them and told me that he kept them for some guests woke up late!! It s good at heart for service. And the location was very nice so u can swim in front of yr own place. I impressed and promised that I will come back again next vacation for SURE!! Thanks again for making my nice summer.

The room missing normal expected furniture’s like table next bed and something to sit on for at least one person. Staff at the facility doesn’t know anything about service. Breakfast was poor, Internet WIFI did not work during my whole visit and Electricity was missing for one whole day and one morning. I was almost the only guest for some days and the staff of approximately 10 people in reception succeeded to lose my room key one days. I can simply say that I expected more than this for the price of 30000 TBH.

Located approximately 220 kilometers from Bangkok is another delightful resort on Thailand?s eastern coast - Rayong province. A late bloomer, the province is well known for its pristine beaches stretching along a 100-kilometer coastline and scenic waterfalls amidst exotic surroundings. Aside from this, Rayong is blessed with an abundance of seafood products such as shrimp paste, fish sauce and dried seafood, and tropical fruits of which rambutan, mangosteen and durian are the most famous. |
