Ting Rai Bay Resort is a small resort on Koh Jum island, a quiet little paradise at Thailand's Andaman coast. It is located 30 km south from Krabi, 60 km east of Phuket and 20 km east from the Phi Phi islands.

Tingrai Bay Resort shares a stretch of about one kilometer of sandy beach and scattered rocks with two more even smaller resorts, so you will find never much people. The resort is built into a hill slope and can accommodate up to 35 persons. Nicely set amidst unspoiled jungle and the water is just a few steps below your bungalow. Great views on the Phi Phi islands, famous for their scenic beauty, where the sun sets down in ever changing colours.

The bungalows are well kept and furnished with all you need for your comfort. All have their private balcony and bathroom.

The restaurant serves genuine and tasty Thai food prepared by a competent crew throughout the day, as well as delightful drinks and some European dishes. No partying, yet you will find places to chill out in the evening.

The village of Tingrai - Baan Tingrai - is 1 km off, a little wandering, or ride by scooter; there are two more villages an the island, Baan Koh Jum and baan Koh Pu, which gives a second name to the island, Koh Pu.

Tingrai Bay Resort has 15 bungalows with different characteristics to choose from. They all are furnished with comfortable king size or queen size beds and have private balcony and bathrooms with toilet and shower. All rooms have fan, free Wi-Fi, Hot shower all bungalows.

The luxurious two - room Beachfront Bungalow is located right above the beach. This is a twin-building with two apartments, each sleeping 2. If taken together they be connected and can sleep up to 6 people.

The Honeymoon huts. There are two of them, independent, overlooking the resort and the sea, sleeping 2 people. Deluxe Bungalows are spacious and comfortable for couples or families. They can accommodate up to 4 persons. Standard Bungalows on the hill slope are especially affordable, sleeping 2 people.

Thank you for your interest in Ting Rai Bay Resort. It's always our pleasure to serve you. Traveling to Koh Jum from Krabi could not be easier. You have several options as to how to get to Koh Jum.

The most popular and fastest way is to take the main ferry boat that runs between Krabi - Koh Jum - Koh Lanta every morning. You can catch this boat from the main ferryboat terminal, which is located just 5 to 10 minutes outside of town. The once/day southbound Krabi - Koh Jum - Koh Lanta ferryboat leaves the terminal at 11 am.

Give yourself enough time to get to the terminal, get your tickets sorted, and walk out to the boat piers. It is very easy to travel to Koh Jum and this way. Go to the terminal, get on a big boat, float down to Koh Jum. This is how most visitors get to Koh Jum.

            the ferry at "koh Pu" drop off point on the sea.

There is a second way to get to Koh Jum. For many travelers their transport to Krabi town arrives too late to catch the regular daily ferryboat at 11am. One option is to book a room and spend the night in Krabi and catch the regular ferryboat to Koh Jum the next day. If you don't want to spend a night in Krabi town you can travel down the coast to the little fishing village of Leam Kurd and take a longtail boat over to Jum Island from there.

It's actually a bit cheaper to get to Koh Jum this way but prices can change without notice and it takes a bit longer. However, if you arrive in Krabi late and you have reservations on Koh Jum for that night it's really the only way to get to Koh Jum on the same day.

For those travelers who want a bit more luxury we can arrange for you to be picked up at the Laem Kruat pier by private longtail boat. These longtails take you right from Laem Kruat and let you off on the beach right in front of Ting Rai Bay Resort. Non-stop.

The trip down from Krabi (thru the town of Nea Khlong) to Laem Kruat takes about 30 minutes. The private longtail will pick you up at the main pier in Laem Kruat and speed you right to the Resort in about 40 minutes. It's convenient and time-saving and for the price of a ride to the Resort you get a private tour around half of Koh Jum island at the same time. Nice view from the boats. The longtails are very fast.

A daily ferry travels regularly in the morning from Ko Lanta to Krabi and back, stopping halfway at large of Koh Jum, where you are taken by longtail boat. Depending on season and demand, it may make a second journey in the afternoon. Travel time about one hour from Krabi or Koh Lanta, October to April.



Coming from Krabi town or Krabi airport you can go by taxi or van to the village of Laem Kruat (about 20 km). There leave regular longtail boats to Koh Jum Village or Koh Jum Pier, whence you have another 4 km across the island to get to the resort. Or else have your longtailboat directly from Laem Kruat to the resort - it takes half an hour and is a great and very feasible arrival, please inquire with the resort.

You may arrive also from the Phi Phi islands by longtail boat, travel time about one hour.
