The Poppies Samui is a tiny magical oasis of tropical enchantment and is situated at the southern end of Chaweng beach, away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort area. The bungalows are nestled in fantastic tropical gardens and furnished in a modern Thai style. All have a private terrace which is surrounded by lush greenery. A short walk leads to the pool with natural rocks and the well-known restaurant offers Thai and international cuisine and a great wine selection. The Poppies Spa offers a range of treatments such as massage or facial treatment for your relaxation and rejuvenation.

We enjoyed our stay at Poppies, the staff were warm, friendly and helpfull. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The restaurant food and staff were excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending this resort.

No problems at all with the booking service. All went quite smoothly. We have already recommended using Sawadee.com to friends visiting Thailand and we will continue to use them ourselves. Thank you.

Perfect stay!! Poppies offers perfect sevice and great location, it is definately worth the money. The rooms are beautifull and set into green jungle just right at the beach, wifi is available in all rooms. The staff is absolutely friendly, we have seen a lot of luxury hotels but none did top this service. We had really bad luck with the weather, so everybody did the best to make our stay comfortable.. e.g. by free cocktails and snacks in the evening. The pool boy was very kind as well, you always get fresh towels, free drinking water (and friendly smile). Room service was excellent as well- the room was made up twice a day, everything was absolutely clean, the fruit basket was filled up twice a day as well.. a great management and service in every aspect! The location is perfect, you will find a very silent and charming resort - city life just in front of the door. We can really recommend Poppies

I agree with those who have say that poppies is a little paradise. Frindly, smily and superefficient staff. 24 cottages scattered in a wanderful little tropical garden. A very relaxing place full of peace.I love it.

Staff were beyond 5 star! Food was amazing, cottages beautiful, and the small touches were fantastic... staff remembering specials items you wanted at breakfast, beach staff setting up your regular chair on the beach every day, and the regular treats and special notes left on the pillow every night were wonderful. Food was amazing, and the boutique style and small size of the resort was perfect! The trash on the beach was the only down side, but the staff swept regularly to try and keep up with it.

We were a family of four, with two kids under 6. Obviously this resort has mostly couples staying there, endulding in this great place, but it worked fantastic for us as well; great service, nice pools, the location by the beach and cottages. It is nice and quiet, garden beautiful and everyone helpful. Only draw back for us was the restaurant menu which is a bit pricy for a light lunch, especially with kids. If returning to Koh Samui, we would definitely stay here again!

The most fantastic hotel I ever stayed. Location, rooms, personnel - everything on highest level.For children perfect place to rest and to play on the seaside. Beach is very clean. During all our stay we never closed the room - the security level is the best I ever met.

We had changed the hotel after two days stay at the other hotel. Mr. Tom from Sawadee was very helpful in organizing everything and transferring money to the new one.

The Poppies is a very good and delightful experience. Very good breakfast with high servicelevel, excellent restaurant with good prices. Bungalows with high standard. Perfect location on the beach with very high service also here! We would certainly recommend Poppies and would ourselves return if possible.

ACCOMMODATION
Poppies cottages combine the very best of Thai style with western comforts and amenities.
The carved roof panels, floors, doors and windows are of solid teak and the fabrics are of finest Thai cotton and silk.
Poppies underwent a major refurbishment in late 2006 including brand new and unique bathrooms
with a sunken bathtub & shower set in marble, glass sink atop a teak table and a private garden.
Each cottage is L shaped like a small suite comprising a sleeping area with either a king-size bed
or twin single beds, and a living area with an easy chair, marble table and a large comfortable sofa
that converts to a full size single bed if required. Of course individual air-conditioning, ceiling fan, personal safe,
flat screen LCD television (satellite and cable channels), DVD / CD player personal refrigerator,
hair drier and free coffee & tea making facilities come as standard.
Outside is a private terrace with two teak easy chairs, a table and a ceiling fan.
RESTAURANT & BAR
Poppies restaurant is renowned for fine Thai and international cuisine in a romantic tropical garden
and seaside setting. You can choose to dine under the stars, by the sea or in an Ayuthaya-style teak pavilion overlooking the pool.
Our extensive Thai and international menus utilise fresh tropical ingredients
and have an emphasis on locally caught seafood. Poppies also has a full vegetarian menu,
desserts, and an innovative selection of wines from around the world.
