The Renaissance Koh Samui Resort & Spa is a resort villa in large, lush and tropical gardens on the picturesque Laem Nan peninsula of Lamai bay. With its luxurious villas, spacious deluxe rooms, two swimming pools, excellent restaurants and the Quan Spa, it is an oasis for all senses. The resort has 78 villas and deluxe rooms. All rooms have sea views and a breathtaking view of the lush, tropical gardens and the Gulf of Siam. Except for a conference room the resort also features a function room for weddings, cocktail parties or gala dinners. It is the perfect place to spend a relaxing holiday or to tie the knot.

Accommodation and facilities:
It is a very nice hotel with excellent service. It is located on a very quiet street. Very helpful and friendly staff. The water in the sea however is very shallow and not suitable for swimming. Internet is available in the room, however quite expensive and should be included in the roomrate of a 4 star hotel.

i have been to thailand many times but this was my ladies first time to any country in asia.this hotel was a great first experience for her.the facilities were first class,but the most amazing thing she noticed was the fantastic staff.the level of service in all areas of the hotel was excellent.we have travelled extensively through europe and this standard of service is up there with the best i have seen.if i ever return to koh samui,i would not think to stay anywhere else.keep up the great work

Renaissance is a really beautiful place to stay. We have been travelling several places in Thailand and stayed a resort in this category - but this is the best. It is located nothern part of Lamai and still realy quite. We stayed there in the first Easter weekend an walked for 1 km on the beach and we just meet 3-4 turists on the beach. The rooms where very delicate and modern designed. the pool area had beautiful flowers and three different levels where children could play. The breakfast was fantastic. We could choose from 10-12 different natural fruit juices - squezed at the restaurant. The spa was very delicate and felt luxirious. The garden, the light at nights, the sounds, the atmosphere - everthing is lovely - flowers,pampering, fresh fruit. Great view. But you have to be prepared for food and spa prices far over average. We stayed o the best villa ; beachfront pool villa and enjoyed every minute of it. Anne Roeed with family (children and 8), Norway

This was a lovely hotel with charming and attentative staff. We were upgraded to a pool villa on arrival but chose the Deluxe Sea view which we had booked which demonstartes the high standard of accomadation here. Lovely touch with the fresh towels as they were shaped into creative animals and placed on your bed every day. Only criticism is that the drinks were quite expensive - particularly the wine - we did try some good thai wine else where and dont know why they dont serve more at reasonable prices as house wine. Great lap pool if you are feeling energetic, although the beach benefits from a great sunset and happy hour cocktails. Great for those looking for peace and relaxation, but only a 10minute can ride to the bustle of Chaweng.

Tranquility Deluxe Rooms blend contemporary style and finest Asian decor

Deluxe Rooms are located in the main building of the resort. Each of
the 43 Deluxe Rooms is over 50 square meters in size, including a spacious
private terrace and features either a King bed or two twin beds, large
writing desk, high speed internet access, two phone lines, relaxing
area with a traditional Thai day bed, satellite TV and mini bar. The
unique bathrooms are equipped with separate sunken shower which leads
to an oversized whirlpool tub located on the outdoor private terrace.

Villas are located around the beach level of the resort in the fragrant,
tropical gardens. One's imagination will be spoilt by the wall encompassed
luxurious villa with an exclusive private plunge pool overlooking our
tranquil gardens or the vast sea. The luxurious 32 villas offer seclusion
and privacy, each villa is surrounded by lush vegetation and sun-drenched
terracotta wall. The villas have a living area of 60 - 64 square meters
in size and 96 - 102 square meters outside private terrace and plunge
pool with sun beds and a dining area accessible from the spacious living
room through traditional Thai doors. Each villa features a separate
bedroom with a King size four-poster bed and separate living area, each
bedroom comes with a private bathroom featuring double vanity and sunken
bath/shower. The villas are furnished in the finest Asian decor with
hardwood teak floors and boasts views of the Gulf of Siam or the beautiful
