Accommodation and facilities:
We stayed in a Deluxe Pool Villa and I really enjoyed the privacy it afforded, as well as the extra space. The hotel staff were fantastic and went out of their way to assist us with whatever we asked - and to the person who complained that there was no water in the gym, the water cooler was filled as soon as I asked for it to be done. The breakfasts provided more than we needed although my version of a 5-minute boiled egg had to be adjusted to 7 minutes eventually - but again, easily managed by chatting to the staff. The gym could do with some attention but I spoke to a manager about this and he assures me that upgrading the facilities here is a priority. It was great to run on the treadmill every morning with the fantastic view of the beach and MaeNam bay, I do miss the view now that I am back home! I would ask that parents monitor their children s use of the gym - while I am all for encouraging kids to be active, I do worry about bare sandy feet on treadmills - the sand does eventually work its way into the treadmill workings and that isn t good. Most lunches we bought from the vendor on the beach,most nights we ate at Harrys or Luna Hut, although we did splash out on the last night and ate at The Farmer Restaurant down the road (ask at Reception and the restaurant sends a free car to collect you and drop you off later). Just a reminder that Luna Hut doesn t do credit cards so carry cash if you want to eat there. If you want to take the snorkelling trip to Ko Tao I would strongly suggest that you eat an early breakfast at the hotel before going - the breakfast on offer is just white bread sandwiches and bananas, and also pack extra water for the day. For me, the hotel special touches included the cold refresher towels on arrival and the pillow menu - I wish more hotels would offer a selection of pillows! All in all, we had a great stay at Samui Buri and I thoroughly enjoyed the break.

First of all, it s hard to focus on the positive aspects: 1)the rooms:We had a deluxe pool room. that was great. but just accomodation, no hospitality, very bad service! 2)the garden: nice tropical surrunding but missing all the small details they make the diference between a luxury hotel an a 4 star accomodation. We were very disapointed because who know, what Samui can offer, will see: here you will just find a place to sleep. The breakfast is, compared to other 4 star resorts, bad. The staff was mainly talking to theirselves, and if you need something, you have to ask several times. The most disapointing thing was, that when we asked to leave early, thei said: you can go but we charge you full stay!!! So the motto of the hotel is: leave us your money but leave us alone!

Accommodation and facilities:
Hotel is beautiful. A very quit location. Staff were a little unorganised at reception but very helpful. The rooms are amazing as was the pool and the pool staff finding beds, shade etc. A trip to the main beach on the island will take about 20 mins. Hotel does have a bus but this gets full and only leaves and returns once out 7pm back 10pm. A taxi will cost about 500 bht one way.
