The River Sand Resort Phangan Baan Kai offers simple bungalows in traditional Kai style made from bamboo and palm leaves. The fresh sea breeze provides cooling for the bungalows and quality mattresses ensure a comfortable night's sleep. The restaurant serves Thai and international dishes and at the bar one can enjoy the fantastic sunsets
with a drink. All kinds of excursions, from elephant trekking to scuba diving trips, can be arranged by the resort. The resort is the perfect place for all who value 3 things: ecological, clean and inexpensive.

Welcome to Phangan Riversand Resort . . . and have a nice relaxed holiday!
Bungalow start built in 2010 with easy idea : "Riversand Resort should be easy better than others!" But what means better? More showy? More expensive? The Air-condition colder?
Bamboo floor & walls, palm roof. Somewhat rough construction made from locally grown natural materials. Real Thai style! All bungalows with bathroom and toilette inside.

To be clean we have to show off every day again. We use only white sheets and towels so it's easy for you to check on us!
Ecological that means for us : Everything that we use come from the nature close to us, Bamboo and Teak wood for the construction, Palm leave is used for the roof. No concrete. No Asbestos. Air-condition and ventilation run by nature in the century old stile without electric. Just use the fresh breeze from ocean.

Fish and Seafood we get fresh from the Ocean. We don't use any kind of artificial flavour or Glutamate.
The most shrimps in our restaurant come from the sea and not from the farm. Chicken and eggs sale the farmers from the island to us.
And the most important thing in the hotel is the bed!
Even Star Hotels save money on the bed. Let's do it better! We use only first class mattresses. Come in and try!
