- +

About 2 million baht is needed for fixing the famous Mon wooden bridge in Sangkhla Buri in Kanchanaburi after it was torn apart by strong currents on July 28.

The wooden bridge will soon be repaired.

Widely known as Saphan Mon, the Uttamanusorn Bridge is 850m-long and recorded as the longest wooden bridge in the country. It was built to cross the Song Ka Lia River and has been up for the past 26 years. The collapsed section is in the middle and about 70m long.
