Life goes on. Despite the scars left behind by the devastating earthquake that hit Christchurch in February, New Zealand's South Island is undeniably still blessed with some of the most stunning scenery on Earth.
To travellers around the world, this part of Down Under continues to rank among the most desired destinations. And although there are so many ways to enjoy a holiday in New Zealand, nothing beats the camper van.
Lake Tekapo is one of the South Island's several lakes fed by melting glaciers on the Southern Alps. The woodlands surrounding the clear, blue-green water and the clean fresh air make the area famous for trekking and mountain biking. Free of disturbance from city light, the night sky above the lake makes this place a popular destination for stargazing.
