Checking out the check-in service at Makkasan

You may have thought about trying to check-in your luggage at Makkasan station on Phetchaburi Road after the Airport Rail Link launched the service on Jan 4. Some of you may have already tried it. Why not, since the remote airline check-in counters are always available 8am-9pm. There are fewer passengers and less time queueing up, or perhaps there is no one in the line at all.

A Japanese tourist pushes his luggage along the street, heading towards the Airport Rail Link station, while two of his friends look on.

But hold the thought - the service is available only for Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways.

Great Planning!!! even the footpaths are wrong at Makasan Rail Link.

Will Thai planners ever learn that mass public transport requires convenience & space for PEOPLE

Just like when the BTS was built with NO escalators..The Airport with almost NO toilets... etc etc
