For the adventurous types seeking a break from routine, Krabi has a lot to offer

A great place to escape the stresses of big-city life, floods or no floods, is the coastal province of Krabi.

If you’re the outdoorsy type always in search of adventure, exploring Boh Toh, a mangrove forest in Ao Luk district, by kayak could be an interesting option. The tourists in this picture are paddling through a flooded cave called Tham Lot.

Unlike Phuket, where practically every square centimetre of Andaman Sea frontage has been occupied by hotels and resorts or otherwise developed for tourism, Krabi still boasts lots of quiet beaches plus semi-wilderness areas where you can easily get away from the madding crowd.
