If you have travelled to Rayong's famous Samet Island before, you probably have seen those hills with telecommunication towers on top just a few kilometres before Ban Phae, the town where the ferry piers are located. Then again, with your thoughts probably already on the beaches and the island ahead of you by that point, perhaps you have never noticed those seemingly uninteresting hills off the highway.
