A nice diversion off Khao E-to

Like a lot of mountain-bikers in Thailand, you probably have been to Khao E-to, one of the Kingdom's favourite MTB playgrounds in Prachin Buri. But I bet you have never heard of this new fun trail I'm about to tell you about. And it's just half-an-hour's drive from Khao E-to!

Actually, I only learned about it just a couple of months ago. I was visiting the Club 11 bike trail at the 11th Infantry Regiment in Bang Khen, Bangkok, when Attapon Mokmon, the man in charge of the trail introduced me to Oat, or Akanit Bijaphala, a young man whose family owns a golf resort in Prachin Buri.

Oat is an avid mountain-biker and he was asking Attapon to help him design a technical bike track at the resort on the southeastern edge of Khao Yai National Park so he can hone his riding skills at weekends. I asked the two to keep me posted, and a few weeks later I was told it was completed.
