Big jump in South Korean arrivals forecast

The number of Koreans visiting Thailand will increase by 20% this year, to reach a total of 1.22 million people.
Phuket seems to be a magnet for Korean honeymooners.
This projection was made by the Kasikorn Research Centre which found that more than half of South Korean tourists are in the 25-44 age bracket, that most of them are first-time visitors to Thailand and that they tend to make their own travel arrangements, based on information they obtain from the Internet, rather than purchase tour packages.
