Koh Lan tops Thailand's internet searches

Koh Lan is Thailand's most searched destination on the web this year, according to Google's year-end Zeitgeist report.
The tiny island in Chon Buri boasts crystal-clear waters and can be reached by ferry from Pattaya. There are many types of accommodation and restaurants on the island and visitors can also make a day trip for snorkelling, sunbathing or biking around the island.
The second-most searched destination was Kanchanaburi followed by Siam Park City _ the water theme-park in Bangkok. Songkran festival in Buri Ram, where Japanese adult-video star Sora Aoi danced among Thai female dancers at a foam party, was the fourth most-searched Thai destination.
