The Visiting an Old Town Market and Cultural Road Fair will take place along the stretch of Khlong Krachaeng Road, between Yai Bridge and Chomklao Bridge, in Muang district, Phetchaburi, on Saturday.

The fair will showcase local art, culture and the local way of life. Starting at 2pm, tourists can listen to a lecture on the history of Phetchaburi and its major temples at Wat Mahathat, then visit Wat Phlapphla Chai and the Shadow Puppetry Museum, see traditional Thai houses and the Hanuman Shrine in the area, stroll on Chomklao Bridge, observe the way people live by the Phetchaburi River, shop at the Old Market and listen to residents' stories. Visitors can then cross the river to Sunthorn Phu Exhibition Space to watch an exhibition on a landscaping project, visit the house of famous novelist Manas Janyong, see goldsmiths at work, visit the Phet River Treasure Museum featuring a vast collection of the late actor Mitr Chaibancha's photos, see the old photos of Phetchaburi and talk to local photographers.
