SOMETHING BIG HAPPENED ON THE POLLS THIS past week, but before I get to that it's time to reveal one very big mystery, our super-secret Grand Prize.
Hathaichanok Krajangchai, Pai
Jareeporn Kaewsuksri, Pai
Thanaset Rongsawat, Tarutao Marine National Park
Rodjana Onto, Pha Taem National Park
Veerapol Duangnet, Doi Inthanon
Nivat Kanjanabovond and Mrs Linda, a holidaymaker from France, Moo Ko Similan Marine National Park
As for the winners in January, ``wanana1'' finished first and snapped up the 12-megapixel Olympus digital camera, ``nitty'' came in second and receives a Karana Explorer X tent and ``siriporn_j'' gets a Nai Rob Roo Travelmap book for finishing third.
The prizes we've got lined up for you at the end of February are: An Olympus camera for first place, as usual; two-nights in Baan Amphawa along with a 45-minute massage for two people for the person placed second; and, finally, a one-night stay at the Garden Cliff Resort and Spa.
Also, on our webboard this week we're giving away a free stay at the Millennium Resort Patong in Phuket, so be sure to watch out for that.

I've been teasing you all for months and months about this and it's now time to spill the beans. One very lucky winner, the person who accumulates the highest number of points in our Invite Friends contest over the entirety of our campaign, will walk away with a very special prize from Alila Cha-am. This includes a two-night stay in a Pool Villa with breakfast and lunch, as well as a Cabana dinner right on the beach, complete with a bottle of wine. All of which is worth the sum of 124,000 baht! And if that's not good enough reason for you to start sending out invites like crazy, I don't know what is.
AND NOW ONTO THE BIG UPDATE THIS WEEK. AFTER holding the top position, basically unchallenged, for several months, Si Satchanalai National Park has been relegated to second place following a determined charge by supporters of Phu Kum Khao Dinosaur Museum which now has 38,644 votes, after racking up over 20,000 in the last two weeks. It now sits 1,500 votes ahead of Sukhothai. None of us expected the national park to be knocked off the pole position since, just a couple weeks ago, it had about double the votes of Phu Khum Khao, but what a difference the last fortnight has made! This unforeseen occurrence has rendered the treasure chest of votes received from Uttaradit readers for Phu Soi Dao National Park practically meaningless, since it would take about five more boxes of votes of that size for Phu Soi Dao to catch up with the top two.
THIS WEEK'S WINNING PICTURE WAS FROM Nivat Kanjanabovond who snapped it at Moo Ko Similan Marine National Park. He picks up two tickets to watch Sea Monsters 3D at the Krungsri Imax Theatre in Siam Paragon.
