2019 Audi TT Roadster: Thai pricing and specs

Open-top model of Audi’s popular two-door comes to Thailand on an official basis.

The Audi TT Roadster is now available on an official basis in Thailand via distributor Meister Technik.

The open-top TT, like in all preceding generations that never appeared in Thai showrooms, is a strict two-seater unlike its four-seat TT Coupe sibling.

Only one engine variance for the TT Roadster is available for Thai punters: 45 TFSI equipped with the same 230hp 2.0-litre petrol-turbo, six-speed dual-clutch automatic and Quattro all-wheel drive as in the hard-top model.

The TT Roadster is priced at 3.599 million baht, 300k more than the TT Coupe equivalent launched in facelifted form earlier this year. The 286hp TTS treatment remains only available for the fixed-top model in Thailand at 4.699 million baht.

The closest rival to the soft-top TT Roadster in the country is the BMW Z4. Introduced in March this year, the rag-top Z4 comes in either 340hp six-cylinder M40i or 258hp four-pot 30i guise, both with eight-speed torque-converter automatic driving just the rear wheels. Their respective prices are 3.99 and 4.99 million baht.

The Thai BMW office is reportedly planning to lower the price point of the Z4 with 197hp version of the 2.0-litre block used in the 30i. The so-called 20i is already available in other right-hand drive markets.
