New Ferrari F8 Tributo launched in Thailand

Latest mid-engined supercar gets 720hp V8 costing 25.2 million baht.

Cavallino Motors, the Thai importer of Ferrari, has officially launched the F8 Tributo as a heavily updated version of the 488 Berlinetta.

The latest mid-engined supercar from Italy boasts the same 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 as in its predecessor but produces 50hp more. Transmission is via the usual seven-speed dual-clutch auto.

That makes the 720hp F8 Tributo as quick as the similarly powered 488 Pista lightweight special from 0-100kph at 2.9sec. Despite the same acceleration time, Ferrari says the F8 Tributo has higher levels of comfort and refinement for daily use.

Although the F8 Tributo shares mechanical bits with the 488 Berlinetta, it has different exterior and interior design.

Priced at 25.2 million baht, the F8 Tributo goes into direct contention with the Lamborghini Huracan Evo and McLaren 720S Coupe.

The open-top F8 Spyder has already been revealed in Europe, although it will come to Thai shores at later stage. Both those aforementioned rivals also have roofless models to choose from.
