2020 Range Rover Evoque: Thai prices and specs

Second-gen model comes with 300hp plug-in hybrid priced from 3.999 million baht.

Inchcape Thailand, the local distributor of Jaguar and Land Rover, has introduced the all-new Range Rover Evoque at the 2019 Motor Expo which opens to the public tomorrow.

Range Rover’s smallest SUV, now in its second generation, comes with a plug-in hybrid for the first time featuring 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol-electric producing 300hp.

Thanks to tax perks, this particular Evoque costs 3.999 million baht in SE form and an additional 500k for the sporty SE-R Dynamic trim.

The new Evoque is also available with 180hp 2.0-litre diesel-turbo, although it’s one million baht dearer than the plug-in hybrid in both trims.

Comparable compact SUVs from Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have yet to be sold with semi-electric drivetrains.

Although slightly larger in size, the Volvo XC60 T8 is the only plug-in hybrid SUV in Thailand selling for less than what the Evoque asks for. The 407hp T8 is priced at 3.59 million baht for R-Design and an extra 200k for Inscription spec.
