True Group congratulates Thai winners of 2018 Asian Para Games

True Group, led by Dr. Kittinut Tikawan, President (Co), congratulated employees of the company selected as athletes for Team Thailand at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jarkarta, Indonesia.

The celebration was held in front of the Auditorium at 21st floor, True Tower, Ratchadaphisek Road.

The four medal winners present at the event are: Wiraphon Mansing, Pichet Krungget, Surasak Damchoom and Boonkong Sanepoot. They were greeted by the company’s president and numerous well-wishers. Each winner was presented with an iPad Gen 6 as a special ‘thank you’ for their efforts and dedication as representatives of the nation.

As part of its efforts to support and develop the quality of life of disabled people, True Group currently employs over 275 staff with disabilities who work in several departments of the company.

At least disabled 20 True Group employees have been selected for Thailand’s national teams. Eleven employees were in the Thailand National Team for the 3rd Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, held from 6-13 October 2018. Four of the athletes with disabilities won medals at the international games, lifting the spirits of the whole country.

Four True Group employees who won medals at the 2018 Asian Para Games:
Wiraphon Mansing: Shooting, 1 Gold Medal, Men's 10m air rifle (Class SH1)

Pichet Krungget: Wheelchair Racing, 2 Silver Medals, Men's 200m and 400m (Class T53)

Surasak Damchoom: Athletics: 1 Silver Medal, Men's 1500m and 1 Bronze Medal, Men’s 400m (Class T38)

Boonkong Sanepoot: Athletics, 1 Bronze Medal, Men's Shot Put (Class F20)

The ceremony was organised to congratulate and present awards to the four winners and as a further expression of the company’s support for developing the country’s sports potential.

True Group is proud to be a supportive force for Thai athletes with disabilities and its slogan says it all: “Be proud, Cheer for Thailand Together, and Show Fighting Spirit.”
