Loxley Evolution Technology Co (LET), under Loxley Group, is expanding and rebranding its business to embrace security technology and cybersecurity services to capitalise on increased demand for such services under the Cybersecurity Act.
"The increasingly rapid digitisation under Thailand 4.0 is driving demand for security technology that increases efficiency and complements the subsidiary business, the security guard workforce services that are provided under Loxley Group," said Yuthaporn Chittakasem, chief executive and managing director of LET with registered capital of 50 million baht.
The company previously offered security in the private sector. But Mr Yuthaporn sees widening opportunities in the rise of smart cities that can provide single command control centres using integrated data from CCTV cameras for faster decision-making.
LET also won Phase 1 of the fifth Provincial Police region covering four out of eight provinces in the North for a project that could help police find criminals in less than 10 minutes.
The company also sees opportunities in airport technology, such as barge conveyor systems and passenger self check-in kiosks. The company already installed CCTV systems in 2017 and 2018 valued at 1.32 billion baht with 6,245 cameras for Airports of Thailand, while also installing a new high-speed baggage-handling system at the new extension terminal of Suvarnabhumi airport.
LET is looking into unmanned security groups, managed and controlled by a command centre, aerial mechanical technology, facial recognition technology and artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things devices.
For the first time, LET is tapping into the home market by offering smart home security with a home automation system priced at 30,000 baht.
The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Muang Thai Insurance to bundle its smart home system with Kasikorn Bank for 10 monthly instalment payments and will charge monthly payment for the service after one year.
Mr Yuthaporn said the fourth group is special technology for the National Security Agency such as GSM interceptor systems, anti-drone systems for airports and rescue drones for smart beaches that can be used in tourist cities.
"In the Maldives, they use rescue drones that send rescue tools to tourists in emergency cases faster than beach safeguards," he said.
LET has also developed its own cybersecurity protection and intrusion detection system tailor-made for sectors like healthcare and banking to ensure compliance with the new Cybersecurity Act.
Mr Yuthaporn said LET aims for revenue of 400 million baht, 20% from new markets, with 10% overall growth in revenue per year.
