The Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), now offers a Double Degree 2+2 BBA (International Programme) and Double Degree 1+1 programme for MBA students.
In academic year 2019, the faculty, in collaboration with Wuhan University, People’s Republic of China, began offering a Double Degree 2+2 BBA (International Programme) in International Business. In academic year 2020, the faculty, in collaboration with University of Derby and University of Northampton, United Kingdom, is launching a Double Degree 2+2 BBA (International Programme) in Logistics; and Double Degree 1+1 programme for MBA students, respectively.
Asst. Prof. Nartraphee Chaimongkol, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT, revealed that the faculty is intent on developing modern educational courses to keep pace with the way the world is changing. This is because technology, trade and investment are consistently shifting. As such, the faculty needs to adjust and develop its BA programmes continually while giving students the chance to expand their experience in foreign countries.
“Over the years, the faculty has consistently supported and encouraged students to undergo job training abroad. To help them, we provide scholarships of 50,000 baht for job training and 20,000 baht for exchange students.”
To encourage job training and student exchange, the faculty has signed memoranda of understanding with leading educational institutions in Asia and Europe.
“Now, to offer students and their parents more options and increase students’ potential, especially in terms of educational opportunities in foreign countries, the faculty has created new Double Degree programmes.”
“The process for launching the Double Degree programmes was launched in 2018. The faculty recently signed an MOU with Wuhan University, People’s Republic of China, to start the first Double Degree 2+2 for BBA students (International Programme).”
“Wuhan University is ranked a top 5 university in China and is renowned for its BA programme. Many of its alumni are well-known, successful businessmen.”
The Double Degree 2+2 is now open for enrolment in the academic year 2019-2020 programme. First year students study at the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT. Second and third year students will study at Wuhan University. Fourth year students will return to study at the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT again. Students are also able to do job training in China. Annual expenses including dormitory fees during their studies at Wuhan University amount to about 23,000 Yuan or 100,000 Baht.
Asst. Prof. Nartraphee added that the faculty is now preparing Double Degree Programmes with two leading universities in the UK: University of Derby for Double Degree 2+2 and University of Northampton for Double Degree 1+1.
First and second year BBA students in Logistics and Supply Chains who enrol in the Double Degree 2+2 programme have to study at the Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT. Third and fourth year students study at the University of Derby and can also do job training in the UK. In addition, Double Degree 1+1 at University of Northampton is for MBA students.
The two programmes will be launched in academic year 2020-2021.
