The board of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SME D) Bank has appointed Nartnaree Rathapat as managing director.

The appointment is effective from Oct 1, as approved by the Bank of Thailand, stipulated in Article 28 of the SME Development Bank Act.

Ms Nartnaree has been with SME D Bank since 2003 and was serving as the acting managing director and deputy managing director.

She is responsible for managing the organisation's assets and non-performing loans. She also supervises the credit quality management division, the asset management department, the entrepreneur development division and the core business process system and ERP (enterprise resource planning) project.

During 2015-18, she was the assistant managing director responsible for entrepreneur development and investment.

Ms Nartnaree holds a bachelor's degree in law from Chulalongkorn University, a master's degree in business administration from the National Institute of Development Administration, a master's degree in biotechnology from Chulalongkorn University and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Chulalongkorn University.
