Typhoon affects some Thai Airways Japan flights

Thai Airways International is adjusting its flight schedule for services to and from Japan because of Typhoon Hagibis.

Passengers travelling to or from Japan though until Oct 13 are advised to monitor the situation closely.

THAI flight operations chief Sqn Ldr Anirute Sangrit said the Japan Meteorological Agency issued a warning that Typhoon Hagibis would be over Japan on Saturday and Sunday, bringing torrential rain and strong winds. This could affect flights to and from the following destinations.

 - Osaka

1. TG 622 Bangkok-Osaka on Oct 11. 

2. TG 623 Osaka-Bangkok on Oct 12.

3. TG 672 Bangkok-Osaka on Oct 12.

4. TG 673 Osaka-Bangkok on Oct 12.

 Any flight changes wll be announced.

-   Nagoya

1. TG 645 on Oct 12  -  Normal departure at 11am, arrival Bangkok at 3pm. Rescheduled to depart Nagoya at 9am, arrive in Bangkok at 1pm.

2. TG 646 Bangkok-Nagoya on Oct 12.

3. TG 647 Nagoya-Bangkok on Oct 12.

Any further flight changes will be announced. 

-Tokyo (Narita)

1. TG 641 on Oct 12 -  Normal departure at 10.50am and arrival in Bangkok at 3.20 pm, rescheduled to depart at 10.20am and arrive in Bangkok at 2.50pm.

2. TG 643 on Oct 12 - Normal departure at noon with arrival in Bangkok at 4.30pm, rescheduled  to depart at 11am and arrive in Bangkok at 3.30pm

3. TG 676 Bangkok-Tokyo (Narita) on Oct 12.

4. TG 677 Tokyo (Narita)-Bangkok on Oct 12.

Any further flight changes wll be announced.

 - Tokyo (Haneda)

1. TG 683 on Oct 12 - Normal departure 10.35am, arrival in Bangkok at 3.05pm, rescheduled to depart at 9.35am and arrive in Bangkok at 2.05pm.

2. TG 660 Bangkok-Tokyo (Haneda) on Oct 12.

3. TG 661 Tokyo (Haneda)-Bangkok on Oct 12.

Any further flight changes wll be announced.

The airline advised passengers to closely monitor thaiairways.com for updated flight information.

Passengers holding THAI air tickets on the round-trip routes Bangkok-Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Bangkok-Nagoya, and Bangkok-Osaka that are ticketed for the period Oct 11-13 will receive a ticket change waiver by Oct 20, the announcement said.
