RMUTT welcomes M.6 and vocational students to study in the Faculty of Business Administration in 2020

The Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), is accepting new students for the academic year 2020. Those graduating with a vocational certificate can submit applications directly from today until 16 February 2020. Those graduating with a M.6 high school certificate can apply for TCAS 2 quota place from 6 February to 12 March 2020.

Asst. Prof. Dr. Nartraphee Chaimongkol, Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, explained that, “The Thai programme of the Bachelor’s Degree has eight branches: Marketing, Management, International Business Administration, Finance, Business Computer, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting, and Economics. As for the international programme, there are three branches: International Business Administration, Marketing, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management. We accept applicants with M.6 high school certificate, vocational certificate”.

“We expect that in the academic year 2020, the number of applicants will increase from the previous year as the Faculty has been teaching for over 44 years. Many graduates have gone to work in various organisations and their skills and abilities have been well-received. The curriculum is constantly being updated to keep pace with the ever-changing world, especially now in the age of digital disruption.”

The Dean said that the Faculty aims to produce graduates who are ready to work with any organisation as soon as they graduate. The curriculum therefore is 60% practice and 40% theory. There are simulation laboratories for students to practice as follows:

Securities Laboratory is a real time laboratory for securities investment and analysis with BISNEWS software to mitigate investment risks. It is used in investment principle and equity analysis subjects to train students about securities trading and consultancy, which require both theory and practice. The Securities Laboratory is also used for training of personnel inside and outside the university.

SAP Programme Laboratory is a room that students from all branches must use because SAP is a common programme used all over the world. There are many modules, including sales and service recording, inventory control, order placement, accounting record, budgeting, financial reports, and data for business analysis and decision making.

Logistics Laboratory has become the focus of Faculty of Business Administration efforts to update the Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme. It emphasises the use of E-Logistics in the modern trade world. Currently, there are professors who specifically graduated in logistics and supply chain and those with experience in logistics. In the Logistics Laboratory, an Arena programme simulates real-world situations as well as GIS.

Language Laboratory arises from the fact that many graduates will work with multinational companies or companies with international business models. Thus, foreign languages are necessary for business students. The Language Laboratory will enhance the effectiveness of language classes.

Smart Classroom is a modern classroom designed to promote effective teaching and learning experiences. Touch Screen and Smart Notebook features manage files and create interactive materials for students to use. Meanwhile, a video camera records the classes and stores them and other teaching materials for students who miss going to class or those who want to revise parts of the courses.

"The Faculty of Business Administration, RMUTT, has partnered and signed MOUs for students to do internships and training sessions abroad with many institutes in various countries, including the People's Republic of China, Japan, the Philippines, Taiwan, Germany, and New Zealand. We also provide 50,000-baht scholarships for internship abroad and 30,000-baht scholarships for cultural exchanges,” said Dean Nartraphee.
