Bayer Thailand donates 2 million baht to support the fight against COVID-19

Bayer Thailand's action to support the response to COVID-19

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. would like to play a part in supporting the treatment of infected patients and thank medical professionals for working with dedication, sacrifice and skill for the public to overcome the crisis and keep everybody as safe and sound as possible.

To help those at the frontline cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, Bayer Thai Co., Ltd. has donated a total of two million baht to purchase medical equipment and treat COVID-19 infected patients at four hospitals: Ramathibodi Hospital, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Siriraj Hospital, and Thammasat University Field Hospital. 

The majority of cases are concentrated in Bangkok and the four hospitals are key hospitals at the forefront of treating patients afflicted with COVID-19.

During the crisis, hospitals have at times faced a severe shortage of medical supplies and equipment. The donation will go towards procuring essential medical supplies and personal protective equipment to be used in the fight against COVID-19

Riaz Buksh, General Manager of the Pharmaceuticals Division of Bayer Thai Co., Ltd., presented the donation to Prof.Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, Dean, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Prof. Dr. Suttipong Wacharasindhu, Director of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Prof. Dr. Prasit Wattanapa, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilok Phiyayotai, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Thammasat University.
