Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), the parent firm of Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), has appointed Krungsri chief strategy officer Pairote Cheunkrut as MUFG executive officer.
Mr Pairote will continue as Krungsri's chief strategy officer.
Mr Pairote has 25 years of business experience across multiple fields in retail finance. He has held the top positions at various organisations, including Krungsri Auto and GE Capital Auto Lease Plc.
Mr Pairote was among the Krungsri officials who played a role in driving the bank to become one of Thailand's systemically important banks.
In his new role as MUFG executive officer, Mr Pairote will continue to serve as the chief strategy officer for Krungsri, strengthening ties between the two financial groups.
