The Bank of Thailand has issued commemorative banknotes to mark the royal coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn held last year.

The central bank was granted royal permission from King Rama X to print the banknotes.

The issue date is Dec 12, 2020, marking the anniversary of the royal barge procession on Dec 12, 2019.

This set of commemorative banknotes comprises two denominations, 1,000 baht and 100 baht.

There will be 10 million 1,000-baht banknotes issued and 20 million 100-baht banknotes.

This set of commemorative banknotes can be exchanged at any commercial bank and the Government Savings Bank, the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives, the Government Housing Bank and the Islamic Bank of Thailand.

The 100-baht commemorative banknotes can also be withdrawn from designated ATMs across the country.
