HSBC merges Omni Collect with eZPay

Increased payment options in healthcare

HSBC has integrated its one-stop payments and collections solution, Omni Collect, into Zuellig Pharma Thailand's digital platform, eZPay.

The platform offers customers multiple online payment options and the ability to generate invoices automatically.

The integration of Omni Collect within Zuellig Pharma Thailand's eZRx online ordering platform, which is connected to eZPay, also creates an end-to-end process from receiving orders to invoice settlement.

HSBC Omni Collect is designed to simplify the way businesses collect and review digital payments for goods and services, reducing paperwork and boosting working capital.

For the healthcare sector, this also means the ability to ensure products are available to consumers regardless of market conditions -- even under tight restrictions due to the ongoing pandemic.

With the integration of Omni Collect into eZPay, Zuellig Pharma Thailand's customers have more payment options beyond cash, cheque and bank transfer. Their multiple online payment options include credit cards, e-wallets, real-time payments and QR PromptPay.

The platform centralises and automates invoice management, speeding up the purchasing process and improving the customer experience. Zuellig Pharma Thailand's finance operations have also been made more efficient with automated reconciliation.

"During these challenging times when technology and digitisation are more important than ever, we continue to invest in solutions that will revolutionise payments and make banking simpler and better for our customers," said Jonathan Teh, head of global liquidity and cash management at HSBC Thailand.

"With Zuellig Pharma Thailand's adoption of Omni Collect, we now have over 30 customers actively leveraging the solution in Thailand. Omni Collect makes payments virtual, faster and more secure, which is becoming increasingly important for businesses as they look to enhance the level of quality service they offer to customers."

HSBC Omni Collect is available in nine markets across Asia-Pacific -- Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam -- with each market offering different capabilities.

Over 2,000 HSBC clients across Asia use HSBC Omni Collect.

Online transactions have tripled since January 2020, with the value of these transactions increasing fivefold over the same period.

"The pandemic led us to accelerate our digital payments journey," said Supika Techa-Amnaj, vice-president of finance at Zuellig Pharma Thailand.

"Our partnership with HSBC Thailand has resulted in an end-to-end digital experience for our customers that we hope will reshape the digital collections landscape across the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry."
