BOI adds Genomics Thailand project at Burapa University in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) as a special promotion zone dedicated to targeted industries.
The project is aiming to study genomes that will enable more efficient medications.
Investors in Genomics Thailand will be eligible for the same BOI tax incentives as in the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi), Digital Park Thailand (EECd), Eastern Airpot City (EECa), and Thammasat Integrated Medical Innovation Center (Pattaya) (EECmd).
• Activities eligible for corporate income tax (CIT) exemption for 5 to 8 years (Group A1, A2 and A3) will enjoy an additional 50% CIT deduction for 2 years.
• Technology and innovation development activities and enabling services that are already eligible for 10-year CIT exemption will enjoy an additional 1-year CIT exemption.
