Online gaming firm Asiasoft Corporation has announced a dividend payment of 0.30 baht per share because net profit grew significantly by 11.5% to a five-year high of 307 million baht.
Total revenue for Asiasoft for 2020 was 1.34 billion baht, a growth of 75% year-on-year.
The significant growth in the performance of Asiasoft in 2020 was due to the expansion of the online games market from the pandemic lockdown from Covid-19 which had a positive impact.
For the fourth quarter of 2020, revenue of Asiasoft was 330 million baht and net profit was 65.3 million baht, an increase from the same period last year by 59% and 626%, respectively.
"The continuous growth in the past several years, the significant jump in revenue and net profit in 2020 was due to our good preparation and efficient cost control. Moreover, during 2020 the company launched seven new games," said Gerry Ung, chief financial officer of Asiasoft Corporation.
"We were able to adapt and change fast enough to take advantage of the positive impact of the pandemic. To reward loyal shareholders, the board of directors meeting approved a dividend payment at 0.30 baht per share which is the first dividend payment in the last seven years," he said.
The firm will launch 12 new games in 2021, four for PC and eight mobile ones.
