Centara Hotels & Resorts celebrated the grand opening of the Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The ceremony took place on Oct 12 at the resort in the presence of the chairman of Nakheel, Mohammed Al-Shaibani; chief executive of Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thirayuth Chirathivat; and executive vice-president of Central Group of Companies, Suparat Chirathivat.

The Thai- and Arabian-themed resort, which overlooks the Arabian Gulf, is a joint venture between Centara and the UAE-based developer Nakheel on Dubai's latest offshore attraction Deira Island.

The strategic location of Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai on the artificial Deira Island, which has expanded the city's coastline, is in line with the emirates' tourism strategy.

The new resort boasts 607 rooms and suites with contemporary space and gorgeous views, nine fine dining experiences from a chic rooftop shisha lounge and Lebanese restaurant to a traditional Argentinian grill, a water park with a lazy river, a candy-themed children's spa and a beach club.

It also marks the first Centara establishment in the UAE and its third Centara Mirage property after Thailand's Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya and Vietnam's Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne.
