The Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) is set to provide six major digital training courses from March to help organisations learn necessary skills to prepare them for the digital era.
The training is provided by ETDA's Academy of Digital Transformation.
ETDA executive director Chaichana Mitrpant said changing consumer behaviour and rapid progress in technology have impacted the country's economy and society.
"Businesses need to adopt new technologies, learn new knowledge and upskill human resources to enable them to work more efficiently in the digital era," Mr Chaichana said.
The six training courses comprise: digital signature (how to use digital signature properly and legally); digital ID (how to properly use technology for digital identity and verification); digital transformation (how to transform organisations into digital workplaces); digital security (procedures for how to cope with cybersecurity incidents); digital commerce (how to engage with e-commerce and upgrade selling skills in the digital world); and digital literacy (how to use the internet creatively).
Digital skills are needed for both private and public organisations to enhance their competence and efficiency, he said.
Digital experts from ETDA and public agencies as well as well-known tech firms will be invited to pass on their knowledge and insights to course participants, said Mr Chaichana.
As Thais engage more with digital technologies, ETDA is stepping up efforts to ensure secure and reliable digital transactions.
There is a need to produce human resources in e-transactions and e-commerce to cater to the digital market in both the private and public sectors, he said.
The Academy of Digital Transformation was set up to pass on digital knowledge in various fields and regularly provides training sessions for people interested in several topics, said Mr Chaichana.
