Thai Honda formally introduces new identity

Thai Honda Manufacturing has announced that it will be renamed Thai Honda Co, starting from June 1.

Shigeto Kimura, president of Thai Honda Co, said the renaming aims to maximise the strengths from both sales and production as well as enhance Honda's overall motorcycle operations in Thailand.

Mr Kimura says that the company's name will be changed to Thai Honda Co to reflect on turnkey business that combines sales and production.

"In the past year, we have improved our capacity to meet customers' needs efficiently, efficiently deliver services and become ready to respond to future market demand. This year, the company's name will be changed to Thai Honda Co to reflect our turnkey business that combines sales and production," he said.

In April three firms -- A.P. Honda Co, Thai Honda Manufacturing Co and HPD Co -- merged and formed Thai Honda Manufacturing Co. However, the new name for Thai Honda was just announced yesterday.

Mr Kimura concluded that from now on, Thai Honda will be both the manufacturer and distributor of Honda motorcycles and power products in Thailand.
