The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index dropped 17.47 points, or 1.23%, to close at 1,404.01 points today.

Total trading value was 27.01 billion baht, with 5.77 billion shares changed hands.

The SET50 index ended at 952.73 points, down 11.63 points, or 1.21%, in trade worth 16.47 billion baht.

The MAI index went down 5.70 points, or 1.34%, to close at 418.98 points, with total transaction value of 1.33 billion baht.

Local institutions and foreign investors were net buyers of 170.77 million and 366.60 million. Brokers and retail investors were net sellers of 292.24 million and 245.12 million baht.
