The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index fell 1.76 points to 1,518.79 points on Wednesday.

Total trading value was 66.04 billion baht, with 16.51 billion shares changed hands.

The SET50 index rose 0.87 points or 0.09% to 1,019.40 in trade worth 34.32 billion baht.

The MAI index tumbled 16.79 points or 2.87% to 568.36 points, with total transaction value of 5.22 billion baht.

Retail investors and brokers were net buyers of 1.53 billion and 139.58 million baht respectively while foreign investors and local institutions sold a net 998.31 and 667.50 million baht respectively.
