The Stock Exchange of Thailand's main index closed the morning session almost unchanged at 1,577.13 points, down 0.08 points, at midday on Friday.

Total trading value was 23.97 billion baht, with 8.79 billion shares changed hands.

The SET50 index fell 1.23 points or 0.12% to 1,053.26 in trade worth 6.79 billion baht.

The MAI index, however, rose 1.63 points or 0.22% to 749.85 points, with total transaction value of 2.35 billion baht.
